How to Remember Important Details From Your Meeting

Meetings can often be both hectic and overwhelming, and sometimes it’s hard to remember everything that was discussed. But next time you’re in a meeting, we have some tips for you that may help you remember the important details.

Concentrate on something for 10 seconds. It may be hard to concentrate on anything in the middle of a meeting. With so much information and so many details floating around, the best you can do is write as much of it down as possible and hope for the best. But as soon as you get the opportunity, concentrate on the most important details for at least 10 seconds in order to commit them to memory.

Chew gum. It may sound a bit silly, but studies have shown that chewing gum can actually help boost your memory and retention for up to 30 minutes. Just be sure to chew with your mouth closed, and try to be as discreet as possible.

Doodle. It may seem like a distraction, but doodling during a meeting actually help keeps your brain active, and can help you retain the important information you hear.

Exercise daily. We all know that exercising is of immense physical benefit, but studies show that regular exercise also helps boost brain power and has a tremendously positive effect on memory. If exercising is not part of your daily routine already, it’s well worth giving it a try.
